Book Signings

On Saturdays we host local authors for book signing events. You can find the entire collection of author events in a binder on the bookshelf at the

Ballwin Cafe. Our first book signing on September 24, 2011 was a children's book,

"Who Let The Mongoose Loose?"  written by William Tyler. Since that first book signing we have hosted over 110 authors at the cafe.

If you are interested in having a book signing at the cafe, send an email to 6northcafe@gmail.com.  We love supporting local authors.

Hip, Hip Hooray, It's Grandparents' Day!

Meet local authors Danita Mahler and Sarah Rice, the Mother-Daughter writing team of The Grand Adventure Series.

For over 20 years Danita dreamed of writing a children's book and now that dream has come true. She became a "Grammy" on a cold December day in 2008 and is blessed with 6 grandchildren.

Her daughter Sarah, a busy mom of 4 children managed to find time for Danita's crazy idea of "Lets write a children's book!" Sarah lived her "dream job" of being a Kindergarten teacher for 7 years. Currently she is taking some time off from the classroom but still uses her classroom management skills as “Chaos Coordinator” to her own kiddos.
